We're on the hunt for our 2021 Leadership Development Program participants! Could it be you or one of your colleagues?

We'll be selecting 20 executive or mid-level managers, currently working in local government, who have brilliant potential for challenging senior leadership roles in the sector.
​
The 2021 Leadership Development Program is targeted at existing and emerging professionals with the highest leadership potential. Participants notice quick changes in their capability:

Rapid improvement in leadership performance by focussing on quick wins and fail-safe experiments

Improved confidence in their ability to resolve challenging problems local government leaders face

Greater self-awareness and ability to make conscious choices in their leadership style

Reduction in stress levels by feeling more capable in their ability to handle common leadership scenarios and public sector challenges

Here's how it works.

FIVE STEP LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
​
Online leadership assessments
Participants complete an online psychometric survey designed to uncover their hidden behavioural preferences at work. These insights build a personal picture of their unique leadership strengths and weaknesses.
360º Feedback Gathering
A precise selection of managers, peers, direct reports and external stakeholders are chosen to complete an online feedback survey about the participant's leadership behaviours in the local government context. The participant receives their honest, anonymous feedback about what they do well and where they can improve.

Leadership Profile Debrief
The results of the online assessment and the 360º feedback are debriefed. An experienced leadership coach helps participants work through their personalised Leadership Profile, unpacking and analysing the strongest opportunities for them to make quickest progress. Together we identify clear, practical techniques that they can use to start lifting their performance into peak mode.

Leadership Development Plan
Participants receive our leadership development planner, a comprehensive template to help them build a realistic plan to make them an even stronger leader - addressing developmental needs and building on their inherent strengths.
Personal One-on-One Coaching
Over the following months, participants have monthly one-hour coaching sessions with their experienced leadership coach to provide personal support and guidance on the progress of their Leadership Development Plan. Regular coaching keeps participants accountable and gives them access to a rich world of experience and advice, including the tools and techniques being successfully used by other public sector leaders.

Hamish Park is Melbourne's only Harvard-qualified leadership coach.
​
He has spent his career advising, studying and working with leaders, from premiers to government ministers, corporate executives to board directors.
​
A local government specialist, he brings a focused, friendly and practical approach to coaching.
